Bill’s Story

Bill has been addressing business owners and their teams for over 12 years but he is not your usual speaker.

His expertise and knowledge is built on a foundation of over 20 years of learnings from both failures and successes. Bill is an entrepreneur at heart and has been from the very beginning of his career. He founded his first company at the age of 21, selling leads to mortgage brokers from a call center in Melbourne, Australia, using a spreadsheet to calculate the potential savings a homeowner could make if they refinanced their home loan.

From here, Bill entered the banking and mortgage broking space. Establishing three companies before the age of 26, Bill founded Nyko Property right before the 2008 financial crisis. Determining the need for a model pivot in 2009, he took the company from a research only model for Australian estate agents to a research and advice model, catering to mortgage aggregators, financial advisors, accountants, and international estate agents.

In 2016, Nyko Property was acquired by the ASX listed property portal iBuyNew Group Limited and in 2018 Bill was appointed Group CEO and later, Executive Director. Here, Bill refined his expertise in change management, overseeing multiple asset sales and capital raises. This led to the successful reverse takeover of iBuyNew Group into Tombador Iron, which culminated in a 500% increase in the share price at its peak.

In 2020, Bill moved to ASX listed PropTech Group Limited, initially in the role of Chief Operating Officer and later adding the title of Chief Revenue Officer. In the 2022 financial year, Bill and his team increased cash receipts by 136% YoY to over $21m. At its peak, PropTech Group’s market capitalisation increased by almost 300% to $100m.

Today, Bill is the Managing Director at Levels Growth Consultants, which provides consulting services focused on helping SMBs execute sustainable growth and leadership coaching services. Bill is also a Co-Founder of the digital law firm Bond Conveyancing and Non-Executive Director at Urban Seed Projects.

Bill has raised over $35m in funding and is an active investor in both public and private companies. This provides valuable insight from both perspectives that Bill uses to inform his advice and strategies to clients.
